2025: New Role, New Rules, New Bike

My work year is almost done – 10 workdays left for me before the holidays start. Feels like the perfect moment for a quick reflection.

2025 wasn’t exactly quiet, more the opposite. It was exciting and full of new things to wrap my head around. I started as a freelancer with Die Haftpflichtkasse VVaG at the start of the year and moved into a full-time role in August. Learned a whole bunch along the way – a year ago I hadn’t even heard of DORA or most insurance regulations, and now they’re part of my daily grind. The regulations: not always fun, but still nothing to whinge about.

Outside of work, the year was packed as well: heaps of riding, plus two real highlights – handing out medals at the Berlin Half Marathon in April and again at the Berlin Marathon in September.

And to top it off… new bike day last Saturday. 🚴 Meet Grizu – my new ROSE Xlite 04 in Grapefruit Paloma (a kind of soft pink). My first ROSE finally rolling in, and Sebastian was absolutely right last year at the ROSE Bikes Store opening in Berlin: this design line suits me perfectly.

Looking forward to what 2026 brings. If it keeps the same vibe, I’m more than happy.
